About the fabric:
Tie and dye, also known as "bandhani" or "bandhej," is a textile dyeing technique that involves tying and dyeing sections of fabric to create patterns. To create a tie and dye fabric, the artisan first ties small sections of the fabric with string, thread or rubber bands to create a resist pattern. Then, the fabric is dipped into a dye bath. The areas of the fabric that are tied tightly do not absorb the dye, creating a contrast between the dyed and undyed areas.
Mulmul fabric is delicate, light and little sheer. It is perfect for hot summers.
You may find certain irregularities in motifs, texture, and colour as these are traditional hand block print. Thus slight variation in colour, shade, motif in each batch produced is natural due to the human involvement in the process.
